Join the WaterWiki dedicated discussion forum on Decentralized Wastewater Treatment facilities to discuss your DEWATS project with the water community.

We would like to hear:

• Any ideas you have for decentralized wastewater treatment projects
• On-going information on the progress of your project
• Background information on the community that your DEWATS solution has been developed for
• The potential for waste/sludge reuse in your project
• Costing/funding/budgetary concerns
• Any questions you have for other members of the water community – how would their expertise help your project/community?

The following two videos outline the work of South Africa’s eThekwini Department of Water and Sanitation in Durban whose community ablution blocks for informal housing settlements won the 2011 IWA PIA Development Award for best hardware solution in the Sanitation and Wastewater category.
