A book on the renaturalization
of the Regge River by IWA Publishing authors Hans Bressers and Cheryl de Boer
is now available to download free in its entirety from the WaterWiki.
Complex and dynamic implementation processes: the renaturalization of the Dutch Regge River was previously published in hard copy by EU Interreg IVB project
―WAVE but has now been made open-access through the University of Twente
website and the WaterWiki.
Complex and Dynamic Implementation Processes presents and examines multiple approaches to
river restoration from the perspective of project stakeholders including the
Water Board of Regge and Dinkel, with an emphasis on policy implementation and
project management.
The book pulls together research sponsored by the A.N.R. Systerra ANR-08STRA-09 project ―New Rurality, and, similar to
other multi-document projects which are hosted on the wiki – such as the EU Project Neptune, can be accessed through separate article pages for each
chapter which each feature a chapter abstract followed by a link to the full
pdf download.
Co-author Cheryl de
Boer offered the book as a free resource through the WaterWiki as a way of
reaching a wider audience and was pleased with the presentation of the
materials within the wiki format:
“Breaking
it up certainly makes it more accessible”
The WaterWiki provides
a platform for material which may not be suitable for commercial publication to
reach an audience that will appreciate the valuable resource that it
represents. Uploading your materials to the wiki gives you the opportunity for
your work to be recognised by your peers and the wider water community.
